Evaporator/Blower
Fixed to the underside of the lower dash rail, the evaporator/blower requires periodic maintenance in order to circulate the air freely through the vents. Made up of four major components, age, wear and/or corrosion to any of the inner working parts - evaporator coil, expansion valve, blower and resistor, may either disrupt the air-flow or prevent cooling of the air within the cabin.

Located behind the AC Dash Cover
Evaporators with front facing vents are typically found on carburetor models, with the control switch located under the centre dash panel. The evaporator listed here is for in-dash models which have the air duct fixed to the rear of the unit. Replacing the dash cover with a conversion kit does however give owners the ability to opt for the mk1 retro look. Available for RHD cars only.
