Fuel Trap
The fuel trap is a small [black plastic] canister attached to the offside of the fuel rail bracket, designed to prevent fuel vapor interfering with the functionality of the MAP sensor in the ECU. Connected to the inlet manifold and the ECU by a vacuum hose, the notoriously brittle ‘legs’ on the fuel trap are prone to cracks. This once serviceable item is now available in stainless steel for prolonged use.

Each unit is handmade locally, with attention to detail. Similar to the original plastic variant, the long internal pipe that extends to the top of the trap is not only shorter on the outside but clearly has a narrower diameter. The absence of the green indicator for which pipe connects to the ECU is now labelled to prevent any confusion.
