Known for its extreme modifications, the legendary Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR Berlina Corsa featured a distinctive detail – a single vertical pantograph wiper. In period racing, regulations required a functional windscreen wiper, and the pantograph mechanism allowed a single blade to sweep a wider area of glass while maintaining constant pressure at speed. Designed for improved visibility, the pantograph mechanism keeps the wiper blade firmly pressed against the windscreen, preventing lift or skipping and reducing streaking.
Made from stainless steel, this racing wiper kit requires no modification and runs on the standard wiper motor. With the wiper arms in the starting position, attach the connecting rod to each wiper arm, checking the alignment so the wipers work in tandem. The kit includes 10-inch wiper blades, providing a surprisingly wide sweep across the glass. Fits all cars from 1970 onwards, including left-hand drive models.
