Located in the engine bay by the brake servo, the receiver/dryer is a key component in the air-conditioning system. Exclusive to cars running 134a gas, this type [silver body] of air-conditioning receiver/dryer is typically found on post 1993 cars. Complete with a built-in pressure switch, top facing sight glass and a single mounting bracket for easy installation.
Due to the packed nature of the engine bay in Japanese cars, a common modification is to replace the brake servo with an earlier type master cylinder, enabling easier access to, for example, the slave cylinder and clutch housing. While the AC hose connecting the receiver/dryer to the condenser is relatively short, the low position provides a more spacious and cleaner looking engine bay.
Includes 2x high quality o-rings. Made in Japan.
